So i just got fired....

I just had a client fire me.

Yea, I know it sucks but it helped me realize two things.
It made me realize that I need to set expectations better with clients
It helped me realized that I need to communicate things to clients in a more direct manor
This client is smart, way smarter than me but he was expecting one thing and I was delivering another thing. This isn't a knock on him, he was open and honest the entire time and was open to coaching. He wanted higher-level nutrition coaching from me and I tried to deliver that to him. He wanted to focus on the 5% of his nutrition that was fun and sexy when he wasn't doing the 80-90% of it that was going to deliver the results he wanted.
Meal timing is a fun thing to talk about but it's not important when you're hitting 70-75% of your weekly protein goals. Meal timing isn't what he needed, He needed to hit his weekly protein goal week over week.
Hitting your protein goal = more muscle to build
more muscle = higher calories burned
higher calories burned = easier fat loss
easier fat loss = quicker goal results
(There’s a high-level nutrition lesson for you today)
Nutrition is boring as fuck. There is no other way around it. It's not sexy like lifting is. You aren't going to surprise yourself and hit a pr today. Instead, you are eating within your caloric limits and emphasizing protein. If you do this day over day for 100+ days, you will start to see results but expecting anything less than that is just not realistic.
I could sit here and go on and on about this but I don't want this to become a hit piece, This is a story of something that recently happened to me and I wanted to share it with you. If there is anything I want you to take away from this it is
Complexity ≠ Results
Simple = easy to do
Easy to do = consistency
consistency= progress
Nutrition doesn't need to be complex it needs to be effective
Don’t forget to call your mom
