I had the biggest revelation of my career yesterday

I was reading an email from one of my favorite coaches, Mike Millner, and he said something today that finally made the lightbulb go off in my head. In his story, he mentioned that someone kept describing ways to fix a problem but not how they coach. I finally have an answer to the hardest question I’ve been asked as a coach.
If you have been following me since day 1 of my coaching career, you know that I’ve grown a lot, learned a lot, and helped many people. Over the course of these past 2-3 years, one thing has always been stuck in the back of my mind.
“What do I do?”
I would then proceed to tell prospective clients, members of the gyms im at, or family members various ways that I help people but I never had an overarching theme to everything. I would say things like “ I help you lose weight” “ I help you increase performance” and “ I help you fuel to recover” Those are all small problems people are having but the big problem is, that nutrition seems complex and hard. Most people don’t know where to start.
“I help YOU make nutrition simple so you can sustain it for the long term”
I’ve probably said that about 100 times yesterday since noon and plan to say it 1000 more times for the rest of today. There has been a weight lifted off of my shoulders that now lets me provide you with more concise messaging, better content, better education, better guides, and most of all better results.
As a reminder just because I break things down into simple terms, it doesn’t mean the execution is simple! If you can take away anything from my revelation, have it be this
Simple ≠ Easy to do but Simple = easy to understand
Dont forget to call your mom
